born in Stuttgart. After the Abitur afterwards at the Max-Planck High School in Trier first Germanistik and school music study with speciality transverse flute and achievement subject singing (with Beata this year Christian) in Freiburg/Brsg., structure study "concert singing" at the music academy Basel with Kurt Widmer. Master courses with Paul Lohmann, Kim borrow and to Philippe Huttenlocher.

Already during the study time frequent solistische appearances and co-operation in professional ensembles e.g. the vowel ensemble of the SWR, the Gaechinger Kantorei under Helmuth Rilling, the Basler Madrigalisten and Swiss chamber choir.

Emphasis of the concert activity is on the one hand performances of "old" music with René Jacobs, Thomas Binkley among other things, on the other hand contemporary music with Claudio Abbado, Ingo Metzmacher among other things. - initial member of the "Solistenchor Freiburg": confine co-operation with Luigi Nono up to its death 1990.

In addition, concerts with pure song program are in the "offer", e.g. a compilation about "Don Quichotte" with songs of Ibert, Ravel and Poulenc.

Appearances in Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, cell a.H.), Italy (Venice, Milan (premiere of "IL Magic ring" of Francesco high 2001), turin), Belgium, Switzerland, France, England, Austria (Vienna, Salzburger festivals 1993, 1995 and 2001), Spain, the USA, Argentina, Japan (Tokyo, Osaka and with the Akiyoshidai Contemporary Music Festival 1998), also with large enthusiasm on the stage, e.g. in Haydns "pharmacist" or in "Jakob spring" of Wolfgang Rihm, in addition, musical (as Mushnik in the "small horror shop" in house oh) or as Conférencier in the Comic opera "La Luna" in open castle.
